“LA’s Neighborhood Brats make quick punchy blasts of garage punk that have them sounding like a female-fronted Ramones or a more lo-fi Sahara Hotnights. The songs are fast, the melodies are familiar,and it’s all the kind of stuff you can bop around to at a basement show and have a blast. The band’s putting out a new album, Recovery, this month on Deranged Records, the label responsible for launching the careers of White Lung and Fucked Up. The album follows their super-fun 2013 LP on Deranged, No Sun No Tan, and this past January’s Total Dementia EP which Dirtnap Records (Marked Men) put out.
